I have been away from the forum for a long while. I see there is an ASWZ.org. Is ASWZ on its own server now or still a sub-arena?

I'd love to get involved somehow in its resurrection. When I began playing ASWZ I was 15 (began SS at 14) and at 26 years of age I still pine for some flagging action that only this zone brought. I think a part of me will always hope one day this zone will again come alive and have a steady population of 25 or 30.

Is anyone else interested beside me?
Just keep hanging on. The future is bright from my perspective. <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
I was just in the zone yesterday messing around but of course it was empty.
Chaos Zone SVS hosts Warzone every Sunday at 5pm ET (after 4v4 league matches are over).

We get typically get 20-40+ playing for 1-3 hrs -- a lot of warzone vets show up. It's in the 0warzone arena and is a ton of fun. Maps are rotated frequently (maps are in for no more than 2 straight weeks) -- talk to zerosouls, hendrixhero, and/or Ninja Cat about any maps you have in mind, or any ideas for play.

Please come on by and bring your flaggin' friends <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm sure everyone here knows Chaos zone, quit trying to steal our ASWZ players! Plus Warzone settings are not ASWZ settings. The whole point is some people still like ASWZ. I ended up playing a bit of Chaos because it was one of the only active zones with settings similar but it still feels wayy different.
wtb more people to centerkill while they are trying to flag
Is ASWZ even a sub-arena anymore? Like KCB it doesn't matter how many years pass, or how many times I try to substitute ASWZ with any other zone (or game for that matter), I still miss ASWZ.
so kcb are you pushing in 2011 <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> im right behind you

If ASWZ were a living SVS zone, I'd be trying to route players there for more challenge just as I unabashedly promote League, WZ, PB, HZ and anything else skill based and interesting in the game. I don't believe in the zero-sum model of human existence. More and varied SVS play can bring more players into the game. We need more cross zone promotion, not less. The problem for the entire game now is that geniunely new players have little chance of having any fun due to the skill levels in all zones (yes even in TW they mercilessly pounce on newbies and retain virtually none of them).

Chaos will of course feel different from any form of WZ since it's not a single purpose/goal zone and is designed as an intermediate zone (wz being an advanced flavor of the game). The other thing is that people in general are notoriously inaccurate at discriminating actual settings differences -- direct observation says that about 99%+ of the time ppl think there was a change, there was none, and 95%+ of the time they don't notice when there was a change.

If any of you have the ASWZ server.cfg file (or a server.set file), I'd like to see them for comparison -- ?msg me in game if you do. Perhaps something could be done about the complete lack of ASWZ <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':p' /> thx.
The ASWZ I remember was not SVS (not that it was a super zone, though). Did that change at some point in its history?
