The only thing I ever learnt about Doomsday was that some seasons in they dropped out of league, to be replaced by Secret, who then also dropped out of league, to be replaced by Addicts ... all in the same season.

(or something)

One of the three most dangerous people in Subspace.

<div>an old player on the email list posted this</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Here is the best info I can find in my archives about the league.  First email is the tournament which led to the creation of a league (6/1996).  Second is the email officially kicking off the pyramid league (7/1996).  Third is the latest email I can find about the pyramid standings (3/1997).  Finally is the last email I can find with individual league records (3/1997).  I think after that everything went to the message board instead of email (or Ego ragequit, I'm not sure because everyone ragequit multiple times in those days).  Unfortunately, I can't find anything that lists the outcome of every match in one place.  If anyone wants to post this on the current message boards, go ahead.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Interesting trivia, I played for Strychnine in the first tourney before later joining DD.  I think Rod was on that squad too, and Phunistle was captain.  Enjoy,</div>

<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>This is an email about round one, I believe this was the first round ever of the league.  I think this was single elimination, and that the next tournament in July instituted the pyramid system.</div>

<div>>Hi guys,</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>All the team captains should be getting this mail.  Some of this is going to</div>
<div>>be a repeat of what I posted, in case some of you dont surf the bb.</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>The first round matches are as follows:</div>
<div>>A - Strychnine vrs. B - DarkLight</div>
<div>>C- Doomsday vrs. D - War, Inc</div>
<div>>E - Bloodlust vrs. F - Precursors</div>
<div>>G - Happy Miners vrs H - Harvester of Sorrow</div>
<div>>I - Armageddon vrs. J - PotatoE</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>A - Strychnine (Phunistle ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>B - DarkLight (Trencher ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>C - Doomsday (Tryam ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>D - War, Inc. (badfood ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>E - Bloodlust (a Backstabber ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>F - Precursors (Gyrus ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>G - Happy Miners (Lost Boy ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>H - Harvester of Sorrow (Nightshade ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>I - Armageddon (Xenon ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>>J - PotatoE (McCarthy's Hearing Aid ->  {email removed})</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>The team with the widdest margin of victory will skip round 2 and move to</div>
<div>>round 3.  This will be calculated by the most team lives left over.  Again</div>
<div>>this is going to be 4 on 4 head to head with no flags or points counting for</div>
<div>>anything.  Each player will have 3 lives, once their 3rd life is taken they</div>
<div>>are to log out of the game.  They can of course play again for their team in</div>
<div>>a following round, provided their team advances.  There will be a 1 hour time</div>
<div>>limit for each game.</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>I need you guys to mail each other (whoever you play against) and work out a</div>
<div>>time to have your match.  Please include me in the mailings so that I can be</div>
<div>>sure and show up.  The game wont count unless I am there also (although this</div>
<div>>will change if I can get some helpers).  If you want we can try to do this</div>
<div>>all in one day (a weekend maybe) so that the round can be done quickly.</div>
<div>></div>
<div>>Im trying to work out with Rod and Jeff getting a private arena for this and</div>
<div>>future tournaments.  So far they are receptive to the idea so things are</div>
<div>>looking optimistic.  I dont know when they will put something into effect, so</div>
<div>>you guys have the choice of holding off until then or playing your match</div>
<div>>whereever and just ignore the other players.  Any suggestions, comments, or</div>
<div>>any volunteers to help run these type of things let me know.</div>

<div>></div>
<div> </div>
<div>This email from Egoslasher was the genesis of the pyramid league (sent 7/30/1996):</div>
<div> </div>
<div>"Ok Im going to start a new tournament even thought the</div>
<div>old one is not finished. This tournament will be a </div>
<div>status based tournament. Its going to be run similar</div>
<div>to boxing (without the corruption Smile). Any team can</div>
<div>enter the tournament at any time. The goal is to achieve</div>
<div>the Ultimate Champion slot and defend it for as long as</div>
<div>possible. Here are the rules:</div>
<div> </div>
<div>There are 8 levels or tiers in the tournament. Each one</div>
<div>is a ranking, 1 being the Ultimate Champion. There are</div>
<div>limited slots in all the levels except for level 8 </div>
<div>(Newbie rank). Hopefully in the future we will get </div>
<div>graphics showing the pyramid, and maybe even symbols to</div>
<div>put on the names in the game for the higher ranked teams.</div>
<div>The Pyramid looks like this:</div>
<div>Level 1____Ultimate Champion (1 slot)</div>
<div>Level 2____Star Lord (2 slots)</div>
<div>Level 3____Elite (3 slots)</div>
<div>Level 4____Star Gladiator (4 slots)</div>
<div>Level 5____Expert (5 slots)</div>
<div>Level 6____Veteran (6 slots)</div>
<div>Level 7____Novice (7 slots)</div>
<div>Level 8____Newbie (unlimited slots)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The slots represent how many teams can exist at that</div>
<div>rank. In order to raise a rank: 1. If there is an</div>
<div>OPEN slot one rank above you, you need to challenge</div>
<div>and beat a team AT your current rank. The winning team</div>
<div>from that challenge will rise to the next rank, the loser</div>
<div>will stay. 2. If the rank above you is FULL, you need</div>
<div>to challenge one of the teams in that rank above you, if</div>
<div>you win you will rise to that rank and they will drop, if</div>
<div>you lose both of you will stay at your present ranks.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>ANY TEAM CHALLENGED HAS 2 WEEKS TO PLAY THAT GAME (rounded</div>
<div>to the weekend). If a match has not been scheduled by the</div>
<div>end of the 2nd week I will chose a play time. What this</div>
<div>does is force teams to defend their positions, and rewards</div>
<div>teams for being active with challenges. If you dont challenge</div>
<div>then you wont rise up.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The matches themselves will be scored like the last tourney:</div>
<div>3 deaths an out, must be positive bounty to be a legit kill,</div>
<div>1 hour time limit, 5 minutes to powerup prior to the start</div>
<div>of the match. Btw burst and energy depletion have been</div>
<div>taken out of the League zone, and the minimum (self)</div>
<div>bounty base to become positive has been raised to 30 (from</div>
<div>12 or whatever it was).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>See next post for current tournament seeding and entering."</div>
<div> </div>
<div>"------next post------</div>
<div>Ok here are all the teams I have entered for this</div>
<div>tournament and the captains of those teams. The</div>
<div>emails of these captains I list here I will use as</div>
<div>a thread in which to email up-to-date info.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>IF YOUR TEAM IS NOT LISTED BELOW YOU ARE NOT ENTERED</div>
<div>INTO THE TOURNAMENT, EMAIL ME AT  {email removed}</div>
<div>TO REGISTER!!!!!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Doomsday_____Tryam</div>
<div>Harvester of Sorrow_____Nightshade</div>
<div>Armageddon______Xenon</div>
<div>Bloodlust________another Backstabber</div>
<div>Strychnine________Slaughter</div>
<div>Happy Miners________Lost Boy!</div>
<div>Sea Queens_______Reinhold</div>
<div>Charlie's Angels______Foghorn Leghorn</div>

<div>Alliance________ScOrPiOn</div>
<div>Thornake________Thornake</div>
<div>The Hive________Iceman</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Some of these teams may no longer exist, and I may have</div>
<div>missed some. Either way is no problem, teams that are </div>
<div>not active will end up filtering down to Newbie rank.</div>
<div>You can enter a team anytime, drop a team start another</div>
<div>one, ect...and just register with me starting the</div>
<div>tourney at Newbie rank (level 8). If you lose a game</div>
<div>dont worry, there are no eliminations in this, just</div>
<div>moving up and down.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>To start off here is the tournament grid:</div>
<div>(1)Ultimate Champion_________1 open</div>
<div>(2)Star Lord_______2 open</div>
<div>(3)Elite________3 open</div>
<div>(4)Star Gladiator_______4 open</div>
<div>(5)Expert________5 open</div>
<div>(6)Veteran________6 open</div>
<div>(7)Novice_________Armageddon, Doomsday, Harvester,</div>
<div>Strychnine, Bloodlust, Happy Miners, Black Dragon</div>
<div>(8)Newbie rank:</div>
<div>Sea Queens</div>
<div>Charlie's Angels</div>
<div>Round Table</div>
<div>Hell Knights</div>
<div>Phi Choda Pi</div>
<div>Iron Fist</div>
<div>Alliance</div>
<div>Thornake</div>
<div>The Hive</div>
<div>anyone who is added further</div>
<div> </div>
<div>So to start: Newbie rank teams need to challenge</div>
<div>Novice rank teams, Novice rank teams need to challenge</div>
<div>each other in order to advance to the next rank. </div>
<div>Again, once a team is challenged they have 2 weekends</div>
<div>with which to complete their game. Who you challenge</div>
<div>is totally up to you. You cannot REFUSE a challenge</div>
<div>however.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you need captain emails let me know. I will be</div>
<div>sending all of the captains of the teams above the</div>
<div>emails of the other captains. Please save that letter</div>
<div>for future reference when you desire to challenge a</div>
<div>team.</div>
<div> </div>

<div>1. The Shadow                 3 - 5         Available</div>
<div>2. Wolf359                    2 - 6         Available</div>
<div>3. Paradox                    1 - 3         Available</div>
<div>4. X2                         1 - 1         Available</div>
<div>5. Players                    1 - 5         Available</div>
<div>6. Sons of Satan              0 - 1         Available</div>
<div>>></div>
<div>Explanation of terms:</div>
<div># Available - They may challenge available teams above them, may challenge</div>
<div>at their rank, or be challenged from their rank or one rank below.</div>
<div># May challenge only, available <date> - They are not challengable from one</div>
<div>rank below them until the forementioned date.  However they may challenge</div>
<div>available teams above them, or challenge teams at their rank.  They may also</div>
<div>accept a challenge if they so chose.</div>
<div># Challenged by/challenger to - They are involved in a challenge with the</div>
<div>following team and are not available to anyone else.</div>
<div>>></div>
<div>Amoeba rank (lvl 9) teams may play each other for record, and the team with</div>
<div>the most victories automatically moves up to Newbie rank when a slot becomes</div>
<div>available.  If there is not a slot available on levels 7 or higher and a</div>
<div>same-rank challenge is won, that team is "in line" for the next available</div>
<div>slot. This is done chronologically by victories.  Amoeba rank teams are also</div>
<div>"in-line" chronologically, but only when the records are tied.  More</div>
<div>victories always takes precedence at level 9.  The order shown in Amoeba</div>
<div>rank is the order to advance to open slots, in all the other ranks the order</div>
<div>shown means nothing.</div>
<div>>></div>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Please save this letter to a file:</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">1.  The Pyramid League is a fluid, continuous League in which teams have the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">opportunity to raise up in rank through challenging and defeating other teams.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">2.  The Pyramid consists of the following ranks (followed by maximum number</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">of slots):</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 1 Supreme Champion (1 slot)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 2 Star Lord (2 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 3 Elite (3 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 4 Star Gladiator (4 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 5 Expert (5 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 6 Veteran (6 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 7 Novice (7 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 8 Newbie (8 slots)</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Lvl 9 Amoeba (unlimited)</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">3.  All new teams start at Amoeba rank.  To raise to the next rank you must</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">challenge a team at that rank and beat them.  Or, if the rank above has an</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">OPEN slot, you may challenge a team AT your present rank, and with a win you</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">will advance up.  This is considered a "same rank" challenge.  Occasionally</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">a team will win a same rank challenge and then for some reason the Open Slot</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">at the next rank will be filled.  In this case the winning team will be</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">considered "in line" for the next available open slot.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">4.  The team that wins a challenge rises to the next rank, and the losing</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team drops to the lower rank.  If it is a "same rank" challenge, the winning</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team moves up to the open slot in the rank above, the losing team stays at</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the present rank.  The team that rises will then have a 1 week grace period</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">in which they get first opportunity to challenge a team either at their rank</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">(if there is an open slot at the next rank) or a team at the next rank.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">They may be challenged by a lower team once the 1 week grace period is up.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">5.  Teams have 2 weekends to schedule and play the match.  If the 2 teams do</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">not come up with a schedule within a reasonable time, I will assign a time</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">on the Fri of the last weekend for either that Sat or Sun.  If one team does</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">not show to either an agreed time or the default time I set, then they will</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">be disqualified for that match.  What this means is that the challenging</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team will either get an opportunity to play or get a default win within 2</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">weekends.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">6.  Challenged teams cannot refuse the challenge.  Any team presently</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">challenging or being challenged cannot challenge/defend any further until</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the current challenge in affect is resolved.  These teams are considered</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">occupied and can not set up or negotiate matches with other teams.  Once</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">teams have played each other, they may not have a rematch until both teams</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">have played a different opponent.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">7.  The games will be played in the League Zone under the following conditions:</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Teams can start up to 4 players, and have other members spectate.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Teams will be assigned a GHZ of either 100 or 200.  The starting players</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">and possibly spectators must go to that GHZ.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Each player in the match will have 3 lives.  These lives are for the slot,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">so subs will inherit lost lives.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Teammate kills will count as a death to the player affected, but the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">teammate who got the kill will not get a kill credited to his/her stats.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># The match has a 1 hour time limit.  If the game is a tie after 1 hour of</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">play, the game will go into Sudden Death over time (or can be replayed</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">another time with approval of BOTH teams).  The next legitimate death ends</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the game during Sudden Death overtime.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Subs are allowed upon approval of the opposing captain, if they are not a</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">member of that team.  Team members may sub in for each other upon approval</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">of the referee.  All subs inheret the lives of the player being replaced.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Non-team member subs may only be allowed before a match starts.  Once a</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">game has started, only teammate subs will be allowed.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># No subs during the last 15 minutes of a match, even if there is a disconnect.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># If a player is eliminated (3 deaths), that player cannot sub into the game</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">for another player.  Also, if a team has a player eliminated, the "slot" the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">player was in cannot be subbed into.  Subs can only take the place of "live"</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">players.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Each team slot (1-4) may only be subbed for once.  What this means is each</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team can have a maximum of 4 subs, one for each slot.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># There are no burst, shield, superpower, or negative affect powerups in the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">League zone.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># There are no safe zones.  If a player needs to take a break, they need to</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">announce it and switch to spectator mode.  If they leave while in the game</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">(to save their powerups for instance), then they are a free target.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># When a player dies, the referee should announce (in green letters) the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">player who died, and the player who killed him/her.  This is to confirm that</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the referee witnessed the score and has it recorded.  If you do not see the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">referee's announcement after a score within a reasonable time (multiple</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">scores take longer for the ref to record) please message the ref with the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">information.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Changing ships is only allowed under the following conditions:  First you</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">must be away from any combat.  A good rule of thumb is to not have any enemy</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">on radar.  Then you must ask the Host referee to change ships.  The referee</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">will spectate on you, then give you permission.  You may only play each ship</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">type once during the match, and may not cycle back to the original ship.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Cycling is used for ship variety, not to refresh lost powerups.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"> </span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">8.  The match is won when either one team is eliminated, or the time runs</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">out and the score is NOT a tie.  Score is taken from deaths to the other</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team, not kills.  If there is a teammate kill/death, the other team will get</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">a point for it. Elimination takes precedence over score.  For instance, if</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team A has 2 players and scores 7 points, while team B eliminates all of</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">team A (6 points), team B will win regardless of points.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"> </span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">9.  When a game is scheduled, if one team tells the ref they are ready and</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the other team is looking/waiting for members to show up, the game will</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">start in 10 minutes regardless of the number of players present.  This time</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">can be adjusted by the referee's decision depending on circumstances.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">10.  Every team can play up to 4 players, even if the other team is short.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Non-team subs to replace missing players must be cleared by the opposing</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">captain, and do not have to be approved.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">11.  Spectators must be on GHZ's 0 - 5.  Spectators who are members of the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">playing teams may spectate on their team's GHZ as long as a ref is present</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">on that GHZ also.  If not, they must spectate on 0 - 5.  Spectators may not</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">give any information to either of the team's players, such as locations,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">bounty, directions to go, strategy, ect.  If caught doing so the spectator</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">will be banned from League play.  General cheering, or information such as</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">time remaining and score, are allowed to be transmitted from spectators.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Spectators may be asked, or (if situation warrants) forced out of the zone</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">at the discression of the ref, or any of the players.  Spectating is a</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">priviledge not a right, so please be considerate of the ref and those playing.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">12.  Changing rules.  Rules can be changed the following way:  A team</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">captain must send in the issue, describing what they want added or changed.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">I will then make it a "Vote issue" to be sent out to all the teams.  After 1</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">week, if there have been at least 50% of the teams casting votes, the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">majority will win.  If there is a tie I will break the tie with a vote,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">otherwise I do not vote.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">13.  There is no double squading allowed in League play.  If you play for</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">one team, regardless of how many accounts you have, you may not play for</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">another except as an approved sub (see sub rules above).  Anyone caught</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">double-squading will have the following possible consequences:  Stats</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">erased, team disqualified, banned from League.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">14.  All matches will have a Host referee, and possible other referees</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">assisting in scoring.  All messages must be sent to the Host referee in</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">regards to the match.  Any disputes that arise during the match must be sent</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">either to the Host referee, or emailed to the League Administrator.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">15.  Conduct must be appropriate while in the League zone during League</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">play.  If a player or the ref asks someone to stop certain types of</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">messages, they must stop.  If a player is argumentative or belligerent to</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the ref, they will receive a WARNING and/or be asked to leave the zone.  If</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the conduct continues, the player may be kicked out and banned from the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">League zone.  Depending on the situation, the League administrator may</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">assign the banned player a "strike".  The first strike will only result in</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">the player being banned until their team's next scheduled match.  When a</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">player receives 2 strikes, they will be banned from League play permanently.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">16.  All players playing in League play must be registered by their team</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">captain.  In order for a new team member to be eligible to play in a League</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">game, the League Administrator needs to be notified of the roster addition</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">at least 24 hours in advance.  If a player switches teams, the League</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">administrator must be notified of the switch at least 24 hours in advance.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">17.  Sub rules in detail:</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"># Non-team subs can only join a game before it starts, and then only upon</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">18.  Here is a few FAQ's commonly asked about the League:</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">?I want to get active in the Pyramid, what do I do?</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">     First, you need to look over the latest standings.  Find what rank you</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">are at on the Pyramid, then look for teams labelled "Available" either at</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">your rank or one rank above.  These are the teams you can challenge.  If</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">there is an "Open slot" at the rank above your own, you can challenge teams</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">at your same rank, and by beating them immediately rise into that open slot.</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">If the rank above you is full of teams, playing a team at your rank and</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">winning only gives you a win for record.  To rise to that rank, you must</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">defeat an available team at that rank, in affect you "take the slot" from</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">that team.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">?How do I challenge?</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">     To challenge, find the captain of the team you want to challenge on the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Captain's list.  Send email to that captain, and Carbon Copy the letter to</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">email removed  so that he can register the challenge.  Inform the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">captain you are challenging his team to battle in the League zone.  The</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">captain is obliged to honor the challenge within 2 weekends.  Offer</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">suggestions on times and days to get together and play.  It is important to</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">carbon copy all of this to EgoSlasher, so that he can find out when the game</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">is agreed upon.  It may take several letters back and forth before a time is</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">agreed upon.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">?I've challenged a team, and have not gotten any response over several days,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">what happens now?</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">     Once EgoSlasher gets the carbon copy of the challenge, a deadline is</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">set for the game.  The deadline will be 2 weekends from the time the letter</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">is sent, usually.  You can find confirmation of the match in the next</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Standings update.  If a captain does not respond to your challenge and</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">offers of times, EgoSlasher will assign the match a time.  This will be done</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">only if a time and day to play is not agreed upon (or responded to) by the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"><span>Friday</span></span><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;"> of the deadline weekend.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">?The rank above me is full, and none of the teams there are available.  Is</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">there any reason to play?</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">     Yes, you can always challenge a team at your rank.  If there are no</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">open slots at the above rank, then beating a team at your rank will just</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">give you a win.  However, if a slot opens up later, teams with the most wins</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">will be first in line to automatically advance to that rank.  A win at the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">same rank will put you "in line" for the next available open slot at the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">next rank.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">?My team just rose in rank, and is labelled "May challenge only".  However,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">there are no teams to challenge at my rank or above.  What can I do?</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">     The "May challenge only" label is just a grace period, giving you a</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">chance to make a profitable challenge.  If there isnt anyone to challenge,</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">and you want to play a team below you, you can mail EgoSlasher to change the</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">label to "Available".  You can't challenge teams below you, but you can</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">informally dare a team below you to challenge you.  Just keep in mind that</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">playing a team a rank below you will only result in stats and record, but</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">will not advance you.</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">I will mail current Standings and News for the Pyramid League every so</span>
<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">often.  If you have a question feel free to email me at removed</span>

<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">Doomsday was never GREAT at League. We were really good, but we were a squad composed of 1v1 duelers. I don't remember the exact placings, but at the end of that first, huge Dueling Tournament, something like 3 or 4 of the Top 10 were from DD and there were a SHITLOAD of competitors. If you counted the Top 20 it was something like 7 or 8 from DD. Again, I don't remember the exact results, but DD far outweighed other squads. Maybe someone has the record of that?</span>

<div style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:12.727272033691406px;">That was also when trixter cheated (not sure that twat is capable of not cheating in life, at anything), "Oh man I just happened to dc right when Prozac was about to fuck me up my fat ass". Paraphrased, of course.</div>
