Sadly, I know so little about Unix systems, or programming (other than QBasic), that I don't even understand your post! I've highlighted the bits I don't understand.
Edit: I am looking at that page now. I am pathetically uneducated about sources and clients etc, so I don't really understand what this would do that is different from what the current Subspace/Continuum thingy. So there'sd probably something really cool in there! Does this mean it can go on those fancy cellphones some people have with games on them?
