The thing i think you will find

' /> is that longer safe-zones allow people to play through out the day and have fun keeping a ship alive <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> thus more people will choose this over no safezone.
No Safe zone means you play and when your done your gone.
No ship to come back to. Just hit escape and 1-8 and get your random new ship.
Longer Safe-zone means play over a long period of time.
More people played with the 9hour time limit <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Hopefully Hallu will post some stats about bounty levels <img src='http://www.subspace.co/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Population levels and what ever else he may want to show
