S33 R5 Schedule, R4 recap
#1
Good news!

The logs are working, and hallu or underpants even fixed the .css

So they look totally awesome now. It’s like having SS chat with you at work.

Anyways. Pilot rankings and Squad rankings also work. These things reset each season, which sucks massively, but this season is long. So maybe you wanna… you know… play with those.

Anyways 2, the round recap.

SFE needs +2 kills on the final standings, since their game was ended with 10-1 score, while it should be 12-1

Sterling needs those losses against Gods and Rebels, since they kinda took over BYE Round. Neither of these actually matters unless there’s a tie for playoffs, though.

3/3 3:37 pm   FTNguyen      def     Gods   12-1    log

3/3 3:32 pm   Nuke   def     Alpha Reunion 12-4    log

3/3 3:22 pm   StarFire Elite def     Shocktech      10-1    log

3/3 3:05 pm   Sterling         def     Assassins       5-4     log

3/3 3:03 pm   Rebels           def     Llamas 5-4     log

3/3 2:45 pm   Requiem        def     Unhallowed    12-3    log

Our game vs. Gods wasn’t exactly high level play. It was krellin’s first day in subspace and he caught some blueberries from Genocide to create pretty tiny spaceship bits. That’s probably the highlight of the log. (Since you cannot see the perfect shots I had placed bouncing around the arena before my “sniped!” commentary) Gods still have a decent roster. If they want to put in some pracs, even if they used to play together, they’ll be ok. We played sloppy and apparently hit double and single digits more than once. The score could’ve been prettier for them.

Alpha Reunion seems to have started their game with a 0:00 lagout. One burned player in vs. a squad that everyone expected to win anyways… not the best start. I was not there so I can’t really say if it was a result of some targeting or not, but Xena was out by 10:22. Only one other alpha member had died by that time.

Mighty Sven is OUT! - [12:37]

That also happened. Always giggle worthy, even without seeing how it went down.

StarFire Elite picked up their first win (yay). Shocktech had someone out in 1:37 with 6 WR, dying at 1:10 for the first time. Apparently they don’t really have proximity bombs in eXtreme Games, so that would be their achilles’ heel.

Assassins vs. Sterling was a pro match, in the sense where everyone just kind of sits around poking bombs at each other, looking for an opening. Mop played a full match for probably the first time in a while and looked like his old self. Supporting his team and picking up FRs here and there. Assassins had a one kill lead going into the OT, but Sterling managed to find two people who had no repels left and got the win at the end. The total WR for both teams was 2. The total number of wasted rockets was 4 in the entire match. That’s pretty decent toys used percentage with 9 deaths total and 2 full subs.

Rebels vs. Llamas was basically similar to the game described above. Lots of waiting patiently for someone to do something stupid. Went into OT at 4-3 for Rebels, gets to 4-4, but this time the team that was up gets the winning kill. Looks like it was JOCKER who died, so statistically he probably either 1) wall bombed 2) close bombed 3) tried some awfully tricky play that involves him running into 3 enemies eating their bombs while waiting for his team to bomb the enemies.

Captor’s stats were substantially higher than everyone else’s with 2-0 5FR and 83k damage. Well, Praetor had 89k damage over at Llamas’ side.

Requiem vs. Unhallowed wasn’t as close as many expected. I only saw a few deaths from this game. One of them was Nadai way out of position and making a bad call on some bombs. From the stats it looked like sika just went pewpew and the others kept him more or less alive.

Hah. More text than ever, now that I can do this at work. Yay.

Matches are on bots and !schedule so you can now go predict on them. Yay.

We're probably running 4pm games after any overtime, until we get that 15 minutes overtime that makes us want to change this format again..

Oh yeah, good one.

The games are always in "current time". So this would mean every game starts one hour sooner for euros. Europeans fiddle with mickey mouse's hands on the 31st. Then we'll be back to the normal difference.
