Why would a hunter attack a newb? A hunter chases either a high bounty, a laming vet, a turret, or someone who's pissing them off.
A half-hour old player isn't going to fit those categories.

Anyway, kids, on AI bots, and yes I'd already suggested they could be exploited (probably in ways we haven't even thought of yet, like extreme bot-sex), well clearly killing a bot (or being killed by one) would be excluded from stats, and they wouldn't count towards freq sizing either. Something like that. And I maintain that they should be only in either a newb arena or a newd sector of the pub arena, inaccessible to the madding crowd.
