Thanks to Nacre and Pempu who have used twitch and youtube respectively to record matches for view at leisure. Totally voluntary actions worth commending. I now know of a third person who started recording games to twitch (they haven't spoken out loud about it so won't mention them) and even saw a fourth at one stage twitch a prac (but didnt mention anything about doing it ongoing).

 

I wonder of these folks should be collaborating to get the best possible spread over the games of each round. Just a thought.

 

Below is a summary of which matches have been recorded (by either Nacre or Pempu) this season. I won't link them as neither have said to me to go ahead and do so. But it gives a sense of the coverage. More matches were covered last season, and indeed a couple of recordings exist from prior then, too.

When new people download spaceships, they are not able to hit "server refresh" and see chaos/league zone. They will not be able to play unless they add some custom zone info and search manually. Is there any plan in place to fix this? I know we all say that Subspace is dead and yada yada, but old players can't even re-log in because they could't find the server. Serious concern, not criticism. I appreciate all the work that is done behind the scenes.

Any time you download a new zone list it will update as a wrong ip and will be in red.

 

The quick fix is this:

 

close Continuum.

go into continuum directory and open up zone.dat. You will see something like this.

I had 1669 erat coming in today. i lost a prac for -4, another for -9 then won one for +17. It all adds up to 1673


But right after the prac, the bot says im at 1656. Is the bot broken or am i missing something?

Wondering if anyone knows when IML's final season was, preferably in relation to Pro's season # at the time, but simply the year would be ok.

 

Season 13 of IML - Final was Llamasutra v No Contest. I don't know any of the other teams that competed in it.

 

I thought it might have been at the same time as Pro Season 21 (late 2007), but if you look at http://svssubspace.com/index.php?page=Results&season=1  there is no reference to either of the above teams. Panchenllama was there, not Llamasutra. Maybe some Llamasery vet knows when one of those existed with relation to the other.

 

Or if someone just has a an associated memory of a world event at that time ... anything really. Just interested in knowing when that season actually was.

 

I don't know if Pro, IML & AML all operated exactly one season per each timeframe or if there were exceptions to what seems otherwise to be a bit of a slide-rule match for the three grades.

Playoff standings: W/L -> H2H between the tied squads -> H2H between the tied squads, and squads above tied squads -> K/D between tied squads -> K/D between tied squads and above -> K/D in league.

 Quick, bad example: #5, #6 and #7 are all 6-6 at the end of the season, the bot assigns them these numbers because their K/D are +1, 0 and -1. If in that group #7 with -1 has defeated #5 and #6, they will be the real #5 and make Pro.

By beating CM in last round, EGO is in pro playoffs?

I'm "newer" to 4v4 although I have spent a pretty decent amount of time trying to learn and improve. I've affiliated myself with some players and I was considering joining Dropship when the rules will allow it (I'm flying their banner). I go into the arena and I sit and i wait until my cap comes up. I have players form Dropship along with others who are willing to play on my freq. I start to invite them in and the cap from the other freq forcecaps another player and I am left to watch some more. I wait on another cap and when I get it, I say "do it again" in an obviously sarcastic fashion and as I am typing that, I am forcecapped out again. If you guys can think of a better way to ensure that new guys will never play 4v4 I'd like to know it. I don't have time to sit and WATCH people play subspace. I understand that there are some logistical reasons to leave forcecap as a command but you have to make it a bannable offense to abuse that command. It isn't hard. The abuse is simple to see and it should be bannable. I'm giving 4v4 about another month to see if this is dealt with. If not, I'm not going to keep coming in. If the game can't be civil enough to even allow people to wait in line and play then it's not a game for me. Little kids on a playground can manage to abide by simple rules of play. I won't be associated with grown adults who can't.
