Thanks to folks who have left sticky trails of information around the web (Mauler, Barb, vorbis, the webmasters of sites for BoP, Starseed, Epik/Llamas, etc) and to those whose brains I've picked (hallu, caer, and many others), and of course to the advent of A1 in the arena maps.

Definitely prone to errors, for instance every time a squad moved up to IML and decided to also continue to field a second team in AML, the data consistency shit hit the fan for me, it became a right kerfuffle.

Feel free to point out any errors, additions, or that I should be sleeping ...

  Rd 3 Squad Predictions
Posted by: Baby Khul - 02-21-2013, 11:10 PM - Forum: Pro League Discussion - No Replies

The third round of S33 approaches, and just when everyone thought this season of league couldn't get any better, team Sterling had been called forth and summoned by captain Seismic to rid once more, all the bad squads that ever dares step foot into Pro League.

But, I digress. And here are the nominees for this week's matches:

<span style="font-size:24px;">ALPHA REUNION vs UNHALLOWED</span>

AR returns from an intense and rather entertaining show of 4v4 spaceships last week. This team, now high in morale as they had slain the Gods 9-7. Unhallowed on the other hand had fallen yet again, this time to the Assassins 12-6.

This will be AR's first true test to see whether they belong in AML or the bracket above. Unhallowed, currently facing a problem with only having a four man deep roster, they'll either need to recruit for more depth or people will have to step up in the near future.

Unhallowed will take this game. Even if by some miracle Unh played one man short, they would still be expected to win 3v4. Outcome will be Unhallowed 12-5.

FTNGUYEN vs STARFIRE ELITE

<span style="font-size:14px;">The defending champs vs the squad that lost to the new and improved Llamas last week. Hopefully this game will last long enough for repels to be burned on both sides and not just one. </span>

<span style="font-size:14px;">This match shouldn't last longer than 15 minutes. FTNguyen </span><span style="font-size:14px;">12-2.</span>

<b>LLAMAS vs REQUIEM</b>

This will be match will be held in the arena with most, if not all of the spectators. The most offensive roster ever for Llamas vs the first team to have defeated team Dre. I could see this as a back and forth action amongst both squads, but in the end, Sika will prevail. How strong are Llamas this season? We shall see soon enough this coming Sunday.

Huge stalemate at the start, but ends with Requiem 12-6.

ASSASSINS vs SHOCKTECH

<span style="font-size:14px;">Shocktech obtaining much experience so far. However, Assassins 12-0.</span>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:24px;">NUKE vs STERLING</span></span>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">First debut match for Sterling, and it's against team Dre. I nominate this match for Match of the Week. Team Sterling assembled, although their roster looks small--but assembled nontheless. mAImER returns to Sterling from FTNguyen, DJ Life Cray also makes a return, and 9-Volt was also picked up.</span></span></span>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Will the prac kings from Nuke be able to bounce back from last week's defeat? Good news is, Sterling won't have a Sika to stop Nacre. Sterling 12-9</span></span></span>

<b>REBELS vs GODS</b>

This match might also prove to be worth watching. Interesting to see how Gods react to last week's performance. If AR was a tough match for them last week, Rebels will be ten times worse. Hopefully the BYE round won't affect Rebels too much, as this match should be theirs for the taking.

Providing that both Gods and Rebels play well, the match should end up being close and intense. Rebels 12-8

  S33 R2 Recap, R3 Schedule
Posted by: Caerbannog - 02-19-2013, 04:28 PM - Forum: Pro League Discussion - Replies (3)

Round 2/22 results:
2/17 3:55 pm Requiem def Nuke 12-6 log
2/17 3:55 pm Assassins def Unhallowed 12-6 log
2/17 3:02 pm Alpha Reunion def Gods 9-7 log
2/17 2:40 pm Llamas def StarFire Elite 12-6 log
2/17 2:12 pm FTNguyen def Shocktech 12-0 log
2/17 2:05 pm Rebels def BYE Round 12-0 log

Rebels struggled vs. BYE Round, put that in your news letter, Ra.
Requiem beat Nuke in a game that saw Nacre getting a quick 0-2 with 3WR while testing the limits of Sika's lag. Nacre was then deathsubbed (full) by Dre, who was later on full subbed by ice2702. This slot was still the first out, but it took Requiem 29 minutes after Nacre subbing out to get there. This was at 8-5 score and only one Requiem player down to last life.
Assassins beat Unhallowed 12-6 in a game, which by spec log, was played pretty much 3v4 after Raja subbed out for Death Artist, who then lagged three times.
You can read heaps more about AR vs. Gods in Nude's post. But it was pretty intense, then Alpha Reunion won.
Llamas eventually pulled off a sloppy victory vs. SFE after being down 2-5. Gold Teeth would then be the one to kind of choke out, wasting 2 ships in less than 2 minutes.
Shocktech showed up, but wasted way too many repels to be considered a threat to anyone, really. 13 WR total in a 12-0 game. Although to be fair, we used about half that amount of offensive repels. I'm not sure if this concept exists in eXtreme Games.

Standings 2/22:
1 FTNguyen 2-0 21 0.333
2 Llamas 2-0 18 0.25
3 Assassins 2-0 16 0.667
4 Requiem 2-0 13 0.833
5 Gods 1-1 10 0.167
6 Rebels 1-1 5 0.5
7 Nuke 1-1 3 0.583
8 Alpha Reunion 1-1 -8 0.75
9 StarFire Elite 0-2 -15 0.417
10 Unhallowed 0-2 -15 0.75
11 BYE Round 0-2 -24 0.083
12 Shocktech 0-2 -24 0.667

ugly duckling: hey man! our roster needs a little adjustment. could you please replace Umgan and Snusen84 (both out) with Ensure and Raekwon/Punch (both in)? thanks, much appreciated

Alpha Reunion vs. Unhallowed
FTNguyen vs. StarFire Elite
Llamas vs. Requiem

3pm:
Alpha Reunion vs. Unhallowed -- 111203
FTNguyen vs. StarFire Elite -- 111204
Llamas vs. Requiem -- 111205

4pm:
Assassins vs. Shocktech -- 111206
Nuke vs. Sterling -- 111207
Rebels vs. Gods -- 111208

OLDIE:
Will be posted here, once I have access to all the data and tools required to pull it off.
Might take a while, depending on some things you don't have to know and I don't frankly know myself.

In the meantime I can tell you Sterling is joining us for Round 3, taking over for BYE Round and their 0-2 record. Hah, take that, late entry squad.

S33 R2 - Gods v Alpha Reunion - Match report (from AR splinterboi perspective)
Posted by: Nude For Satan - 02-19-2013, 01:50 AM - Forum: Pro League Discussion - Replies (1)

<div>Rd 2 of Pro/AML League and Alpha Reunion open their account with a 9-7 edge-of-seat victory over the reformed Gods.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Starting with Mighty Sven, fuego, ugly duckling and 11th hour signing Weasal, the match began as a cautious lob-fest through the boxes at the bottom of the map, the lev bombs of Genocide keeping direct confrontations at a minimum. A lot of reps had already been worn off the enemy and there was a bit of discussion on what level of engagement was now appropriate. Patience wore thin for both teams after about 10 minutes and the first blood was drawn by Gods at the expense of illustrious leader Mighty Sven.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Poise deserted AR for the next few minutes, and by the 15 minute mark Gods had a 3-0 lead. But while the noobiest of the squad may have felt the bile of panic rising (*cough*), not so the coolheaded chastising of fuego, who led the way to regrouping and stopping the rot. Indeed, a few minutes later, AR had recovered equal scoreboard footing with their opponents at 3-3, all deaths to six different players.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The fighting that followed was more reserved and defensive, as stalemate #2 drew out to seven minutes duration, before Weasal dropped his second life, and a few minutes later fuego fell to one remaining ship - possibly with intent to get some toys back and get after the repless.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Gods' Adept lost his second life shortly after, and there was one ship in it, but then Mighty Sven was killed, and immediately after ugly duckling dropped his first. The lead had again blown out to a margin of 3.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>It was somewhere in here that someone (I dunno who) seemed trapped in a box by two opponents, but despite two offensive reps made it out safe. This was a massive turn of events as suddenly Gods had a far worse store of reps than before the incident. Sure enough. Genocide fell to one life left immediately afterwards, and ysymmij lost his first ship as well.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The blowout happened at the 35 minute mark when Genocide died for the third time, possibly moments before subbing out as Gods had just started to ring in their subbing at that time. Adept was pulled for Jackol and Weezie for skipper BloodyEssence. Further complicating their own quest for glory, rules naivete saw these players burned.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>At the same time, fuego suffered a couple of lagouts, and ended up burned himself. But the AR pressure was relentless now that they were 4v3 and within a couple of minutes it was 4v2 when ugly duckling took out the one-life-erroneously-burned- new-sub  Jackol.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>But the consternation had only just begun at this point, as moments afterwards ugly duckling (rated AR's best player by the bot) also lagged out, and was unable to return.  Then the two subs in waiting both found out they couldn't sub in. While arguments ensued of who'd done what wrong and how to fix the snubbing of the subbing, approximately two minutes passed while fuego rifled through the paperwork with two ships firing at his windshield. Somewhat akin to A BOSS, fuego shuffled away delightfully in time and continued screaming at the rest of the team while everyone else screamed back at him, and at each other. I'm sure I saw some yanking of pigtails and someone had a bra strap torn off.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>BadLamb alleviated the furore by eventually guessing caerbannog's sub safe lock combination and entered to replace ugly duckling. This was at about the 40 minute mark. Back to 4v2 and AR slowly regained composure.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>With a 1 ship lead overall, fuego entered "run" as his macro and sat a weight on the relevant key. Then, in the final minute, he decided that "run" was non-specific as to whether from, or at, and explodiated ysymmij's second ship to bring the score to 9-7 Alpha's way.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>For the last 45 seconds there was a chase on to get Bloody Essence without endangering AR's own ships, but he proved too elusive and went on to finish 10 minutes of play with the stats of a perfect row of donuts. The final siren blew, and a sigh of relief - rather than jubilation - sounded throughout the Alpha Reunion camp. The final score was Alpha Reunion 9-7 Gods, with MVP awarded to Weezie for scoring DmgE 9% lower than second worst Tongue , runner-up was AR's ugly fu... err ... duckling.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The match itself was generally regarded by the viewing public as a very good one to watch, and will probably set up the return match as a vengeance-based bloodfest in the eyes of the very brave and dogged Gods. To have AR in a 3-ship deficit twice is sure to cause quite a smoulder.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Next weekend the victorious AR team meet Unhallowed which surely will be a litmus test ... for Unhallowed. Gods take on Rebels where again, the opportunity to learn how they're travelling will flesh itself out a little more. Hopefully both teams will have swotted up on the subbing rules by then Smile</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Alpha Reunion's stocks look to be further bolstered by Round 3 with the addition of Ensure and Xena. to the roster. WELL IF THEY'VE EVER BEEN THERE ONCE IT COUNTS.</div>

  Records games?

I hear that you can record games on other subspace servers. just like in quake, cs, starcraft, lol or any other competitive game on the internet.

Why haven't me made an effort to move pro league to one of these servers yet? And could we make an effort for next season?

  Squad Analysis & Predictions
Posted by: Three - 02-17-2013, 07:44 AM - Forum: Pro League Discussion - Replies (3)

After seeing a line bombing Leviathan post some pretty interesting analysis I thought I would throw my own thoughts into the mix. Enjoy.

Gods

After a long hiatus it's good to see this team back in league. One has to wonder how many of these new squads will stick around, but for leagues sake I hope all do. I wish nothing but the best for this team. Headed up by BloodyEssence, Gods return for season 33. The way things are shaping up I assume if there is a PRO/IML cutoff, Gods will be on the cusp. They will have to pull some upsets to get into the pro playoffs. I suggest they get on the waiver wire (so to speak) and add some active depth immediately.

Best starting lineup: Adept, Imperfection, Genocide, X-hail

Alpha Reunion

<div> </div>
<div>I'm really not sure who most of these players are but I give them props for entering league in a zone where the population has dwindled for years. Good luck guys... gotta put in the hours.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Mighty Sven, FUEGO, Hallowed by thy nam, BadLamb</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>FTNguyen</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The defending Pro League champions enter season 33 with their heads held high. After breaking Assassins hearts in the finals yet again, and going undefeated in the past few regular seasons, FTNguyen are looking for more blood as they ogle another title. The question is will another squad match them?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: KiNGNeWBiE, The Village Bike, 7th, mAImER</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Shocktech</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Another new squad that got 12-0'd by Llamas in round one of the regular season. I'm sorry guys but this season is going to be freaking ugly unless you get Travis and kboom on your roster and active.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: .....?</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div><b>Llamas</b></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Ah Llamas. A team that has always had potential and has always fallen short. This looks to be their breakout season as Llamas have a pretty decent roster. This squad will be vying with Rebels for the 6th spot in Pro League when the regular season is all said and done. They have the capability to make some noise if they can put it all together.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Street Fighter, babaloo, Cycl0ne, Shikaa (twista, parabola, hedcase8 in the mix for subs)</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Starfire Elite</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Good ole SFE. Whenever I see these guys playing I get a little choked up. This team reminds me of Nightwatch. Guys that have potential, never won a Pro title together but who play for fun, and play to win. I'll be pulling for these guys to make some noise but sometimes you can only get so far. Good luck SFE.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Note - MfA, use some of the energy you did last season on mines on forward moving bombs that connect.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: a suicidal dentist, Mauler, gold teeth, Plutorus</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Assassins</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I'm not sure why this squad is still called Assassins. It was always intrepid + Dingo. With that being said, Intrepid enters season 33 with a strong roster. They could field at least 3 lineups with different players that would all get to the Pro playoffs. Expect this team to get far into the Pro post season.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Jake, Jae, Kdak, bhang</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Unhallowed</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Unhallowed returns to Pro League, thankfully, for season 33. I and they both wish chronos and Seismic were with them. This should be an interesting season for Unhallowed, but I don't see them going too far if one of their starters doesn't show.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Death Artist, Fre0n, Nadai, cfl</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Nuke</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Somehow Caerbannog let Dre captain a team in league. Face Palm. Thankfully Enforcer is co-captain so it won't be a huge fail. I'm also confused as to why The Dark are not back this season, but I digress. Nuke will make a lot of noise in chat this season, the question is whether or not they can actually deliver on post season game day. Talk is cheap gentlemen.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>?go duel is ----> way</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Nacre, saiyan, Blink, Da_Monkk</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Rebels</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Rebels will be competing with Llamas for the 6th spot this season. This squad really lacks a game changer. One can only imagine what Rebels could do with a player like develop/ghostbuster17/savage. But with the roster as it is right now, they will be hard pressed to get passed the top teams in Pro.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Ra, Eric Clapton, gato, Barbarian</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Requiem</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Requiem returns after a very long hiatus. A new look Requiem but Requiem nonetheless. The question for this team isn't activity but putting things together when it matters most. All main players are past Pro champions, all have the mental fortitude... cohesion will make or break this team.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best starting lineup: Candyman, Ozn, Sika, Three</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>

  Rd 2 Squad Predictions
Posted by: Baby Khul - 02-14-2013, 07:34 PM - Forum: Pro League Discussion - Replies (5)

First and foremost, round 2 is finally here. And from what I can tell, a wonderful season this might turn into.

Round 2 looks pretty....well, interesting. Starting off with two matches where people wouldn't really care to watch, then followed by a match spectator worthy, and for the finale - a match you'd definitely not want to miss out on.

ALPHA REUNION vs GODS

This will be the first test for Gods to see whether they belong in the AML bracket or beyond. Alpha Reunion will aim to bounce back from a first round loss to Assassins, 12-2. On the bright side of things, AR managed to last ten minutes against Ass', and that's quite impressive for an unknown team's first debut game.

Gods on the other hand well, one word comes to mind: inactivity. These guys aren't new to the league scene, but they also haven't played in over four years time. Would be a miracle if they could even field four onto the battlefield this coming Sunday. Let's see how well they mesh together in their first match against frankly, the best debut match Gods could ever hope for in Season 33.

Seeing as how Gods were both AML and IML champs in the past, while AR is a relatively new team under the radar, Gods should be able to take this game 12-6.

FTNGUYEN vs SHOCKTECH

Well, not much can or should be said about this match. I'd be SHOCK'd if they'd even get two kills off the asians. So..... 12-2. But then again, they did get 12-0'd by Llamas last week. On a sidenote, I do sincerely hope that Shocktech pulls through with this season and even return for the next. Perhaps even more newer teams would be formed and AML could even possibly be revived in the future. One can still dream.....

But yeah, 12-2.

LLAMAS vs STARFIRE ELITE

Llamas started off the season with a flawless victory over Shocktech, whereas SFE got crushed in round 1 to Nuke. By comparing rosters alone, Llamas have by far the more superior one. I've ran through many possible scenarios that could happen in favor for SFE, but it's just not possible in my opinion.

This match will end with the score of 12-5.

ASSASSINS vs UNHALLOWED

This match will most likely end up with Unh being pushed all around the map by the Stacked'ssassins. Depending on who shows up and plays for Unh, the match could be....somewhat...close?

The starting line up for Unh will almost HAVE to be Death Artist, Fedu, Nadai and cfl. But seeing as how three of the four players mentioned haven't even been on in two days or more...makes me believe the match score should not even come close.

12-5 for Assassins.

NUKE vs REQUIEM

In my opinion, the match of the week goes to Nuke vs Requiem. Nuke's roster is utterly amazing in terms of individual talent and raw firepower. But Requiem also has Sika, which could work both ways for and against Requiem I suppose. HG has finally re-entered the world of the spaceships so I'm pretty certain this season will turn into a rather lively one.

I could see this game being a close one if Nuke does not start their all-star line up. Therefore the final score for this match up will be boldly predicted as 12-8 with Nuke coming on top.

Let the good times roll.
